Grammy weekend is usually all about honoring the music and musicians we love but it’s also an opportunity to honor those behind the scenes that help those artists.
Yesterday (February 7) Nick alongside famed talent manager Michael “Blue” Williamms hosted a pre-Grammy Managers Brunch at State Social House in West Hollywood, CA.
This is the 5th year for the brunch with Blue at the helm but the first year in conjunction with his partnership with Nick and Ncredible Entertainment.
There were many professionals from the management and public relations world as well as artist themselves who were invited to attend the brunch.
Mona Scott-Young who has managed the likes of Missy Elliott and has created the Love and Hip Hop franchise was not only in attendance but was the recipient of the first ever Chris Lighty Excellence in Management Award.
She received the award for her 20-plus years of achievement in music.
Chris Lighty was a management pioneer and the founder of Violater Management who sadly committed suicide in 2012.
