Nick Cannon Shares Fun and Wisdom With Young Makers at National Makers Faire

Over the weekend Nick took over the Nation’s capital as he visited the great city of Washington, DC.

Nick was in town as part of the “Champions of Change for Making” event which took place at the White House on Friday June 17th.

The following Saturday Nick helped kick-off the National Maker Faire at the University of the District of Columbia.

Nick and RadioShack took part in the event by holding a “learn to solder” workshop. Nick also gave the opening ceremony speech to a packed room of eager fans across all age groups.

During his talk he discussed how RadioShack was part of the beginnings of his story as a maker. He shared that his maternal grandfather had left him some instruments when he passed away and how his ear hands and mind took them apart and later when to RadioShack to learn how to put them back together again.

He also shared his excitement over the future of STEM which had now been expanded to STEAM to include the arts.
