Nick is joining in on the goal to rebuild the city of Ferguson.

The St. Louis Regional Business Council and Radio One St. Louis, Old School 95.5 have partnered together for this Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday and invited the entire St. Louis Metro Area to do what they can to help the City of Ferguson in their rebuilding efforts.

“We are delighted to have been approached by Gary Gunter of Radio One St. Louis to jointly talk to our community on Martin Luther King Day 2105,” states Kathy Osborn, Executive Director of the RBC.

On January 19th from 12PM to 7PM (CST), Old School 95.5 will host “Ferguson Relief” the Radiothon to raise funds and donations to benefit the Reinvest North County Fund.

Nick has been tapped as the co-host for the event alongside actor Malik Yoba. There will be a multitude of guests from the entertainment world and St. Louis community.

The purpose of the Reinvest North County Fund is two-fold:

1. To provide immediate relief to small business which have been hurt by ongoing civil unrest, and
2. To provide school districts with appropriate resources to show their children how important school is, particularly in times of distress.

This will also be an opportunity for the city to hear the stories of those most affected by the incidents of the past six months…..live and uncut.

“To align with our Company mission, producing this Radiothon allows us to provide relevant content that affects the African American Community and listeners we serve while at the same time giving back to businesses in need that serve the Ferguson residents and our region as a whole. We are excited about this programming venture and that it is taking place on the MLK Holiday,” states Gary Gunter, Vice President and General Manager of Radio One St. Louis.
