On Saturday (April 19) Nick arrived in Washington, DC to fulfill his duties as the Grand Marshall at the 8th Annual End Lupus Now walk. It was a bright, sunny and cool day but that didn’t stop Nick from displaying his muscled guns, as he addressed the crowd from the stage before kicking off the walk. Nick let the 4,000 attendees know that he was inspired and motivated by all of them. He also shared that prior to making his way on the red-eye from Los Angeles he attempted to dye his hair purple but it just wouldn’t stick. In a fantastic sit down interview that occurred with CNN when asked by the reporter Lauren Johnson Yo how he feels about having lupus. He responded by saying “I have Lupus but Lupus doesn’t have me. We’re going through this together and we can end this fight.” Following the walk Nick took pictures and selfies with fans who lined up for over an hour to get the chance to meet and interact with him up close and personal.
