French Montana

Born Karim Kharbouch, hails from Casablanca, Morrocco. He immigrated with his family to New York City at the age of 13, and called the Bronx home. Not speaking much English was no deterrent to his acclimation to Bronx culture and developing an obsession with what would before long become his passion, music. The rapper spent almost a decade building his fans on the grass roots level releasing a series of DVD’s titled Cocaine City which he began dropping in 2002 which featured raw and uncut interviews with both up-and-coming and established artists like Jadakiss, 50 Cent and Young Jeezy, interwoven with his own music.

His sound became viral as he graduated to his next series of mixtape titled Mac and Cheese and Coke Wave. By 2012 it would all pay off when he signed with Sean P. Diddy Combs’ Bad Boy Records (via Interscope) and Rick Ross Maybach Music Group in a joint venture. He released his debut album Excuse My French in May 2013. He is currently working on the follow-up to his debut album titled Mac and Cheese: The Album. He released the free mixtape Mac and Cheese: The Appetizer last year which featured the hit track Don’t Panic.
